looks like a great idea, i would have love to use it with avast but this will not work with windows 7.
i have seen it fail many timesi used to reccomend it ..... but no more
excellent codec pack. be careful if you already have another codec pack installed because it may cause errors.
ok it's been nearly 4 years since i was test driving this software, and seeing it here again i decided to give it another try. for starters, i kind of like the application, but it makes it hard for me to keep liking. previously i posted a list of annoyances (see below) and some have been fixed, but rather clunkily (is that a word). anyway... 1. the installer on windows 7 x64 doesn't close out gracefully. after the install, windows prompts that it may not have installed correctly and i have to tell it that it was ok. now into the program: 2. i previously posted that changing fields required clicking with the mouse. they did include a configurator that allows you to specify key(s) that you can hit that will advance you to the next field. it doesn't always work. for starters, when the program is new, or if you're entering a payee that is new, a very annoying box pops up asking you to define the new payee. seriously? include a check box that gives you the option to decide if you want to set that information up. otherwise, let it flow. once you get a flow along with the payee being recognized, hitting the key you've defined (i set mine to enter) it doesn't always jump to the next field. leaving it as the tab button works, but i like the enter button. it' s more natural to me.3. the last entry date bug was fixed seemingly, so it allows you to enter the info you want to enter in batches by date rather than having to set the date back a few days each and every time. (at least the devs are listening).4. the register sorting seems freaky. once it only sorted by entry, regardless of date, then it sorted by date (which is should), but shouldn't it do it all the time?5. i'm still going over the program with a fine tooth comb, but overall, as i've said it's become too clunky and ambitious. it should be tweaked down a bit and perhaps different versions need to be developed. some, (maybe more than i think) people would rather just have a checkbook register/balancing program, rather than the bloat of all the financial crap that's been added. make it to where it's just a checkbook register with a savings register in the background. give it the function of reconciling, keep the options to configure, and give the option of configuring new payees rather than forcing it down our throats. maybe make it a "my money lite". as it is, an excel spreadsheet with some key formulas is more appealing....turn it into a donate rather than "in 6 months you have to pay for it or you can't get to your account" and you'll have me. until then, i have to downgrade again and give it a 2. 1 because of what it's supposed to do, and 1 because the devs usually listen. as things are fixed, i may up my rating.
plz betanews, get it right... this is the "via hyperionpro 5.01beta" and it only have driver for viamach, viaagp, viaraid and raidtool... not the normal "via hyperion 4in1".from viaarena : "there are three main differences between a via hyperion 4in1 driver package and a via hyperionpro package, detailed below. all other recommendations remain. 1) the hyperionpro package includes sata/raid drivers whilst the hyperion 4in1 package does not. the extra contents makes the hyperionpro package over 5mb larger than the hyperion 4in1 package. therefore if you are not utilizing a via sata or raid controller in your system, the hyperion 4in1 package may be a better download choice. 2) the hyperionpro package supports 64 bit microsoft windows xp and 64 bit windows server 2003 whilst the hyperion 4in1 package only supports 32 bit operating systems. 3) the hyperionpro package does not contain the ide filter driver. for win9x/me/2k the ide filter driver is needed to support udma 6. the ide filter driver is not needed for winxp sp1 and later microsoft operating systems. "
i thought money 2005 was a great tool i had zero issues with it all year.
@radiomaffia"you keep rating it 5, i keep rating it 1 star, fact is that utorrent done something that didnt make it easier in torrentland, all the private trackers that i am using banned version 2.xx and utorrent 2 is useless to me untill all private trackers allow it and that isnt the case, we will see where it ends prespero.or utorrent delivers a clean version without utp or it slowly but certainly lose populairity and the days of vuze will rise again, i was looking to use halite but this client is also banned by a private tracker that i like to use..."but here's the thing: most private trackers have a list of approved and unapproved clients. a lot of them don't allow any version of, say, vuze. they only allow the old 2.5.x.x versions of azureus. does this mean that you would also give vuze or halite any of the other clients that some private trackers don't allow the lowest rating possible? somehow i doubt that. i can certainly understand a preference for other clients, i just don't understand why you seem to be on some sort of anti-utorrent crusade.but really, i understand where some critics are coming from and i can see how implementing new versions of utorrent when new builds are released so frequently could make more work than some tracker admins are willing to put in. i have no problem with a tracker not allowing the new versions that are constantly coming out as long as they aren't basically lying about their reasons for doing so. and as long as you'll stop saying that "all private trackers ban utorrent", which you must know by now is untrue, we can have a rational conversation about this.i just don't understand why you're willing to spread obviously false information in these forums. did the utorrent devs kick your puppy? ;)
i personally like this program since its interface is pretty simple. i have a few issues with the features it offers, though. it isn't nearly as powerful as paid programs like nero.since it's free, you can't really complain about what it doesn't do.. but if you have a simple burning project, it is sufficient.
