i find it hard to believe thunderbird still can't display compact multiline headers in the message tree, with from, date and subject spread over two lines for those who do not have widescreen monitors. becky can do it. emclient can do it. what are we waiting for?and i was astonished to find i could not easily set up a filter to automatically reply to an incoming mail with a specific subject. there's probably a plugin for that. if i could be bothered trawling through the list. and if i wanted to trust my mail program to an unaudited plugin developer.last but certainly not least, in becky i can split my mail database into 1 file per mail (with attachments detached). i can read these files in a standard text editor. if one file gets corrupted i lose just one mail. not the whole databse.thunderbird on the other hand, like outlook, uses one big proprietary database format. one byte corrupted and you're screwed. i've seen it happen. but at least you can download colourful personalities for thunderbird. that's a huge plus for this facebook generation.

i used to use and support nsis all the time as it used to be a simple elegant yet powerful solution however as time has gone by it has become a clunky mess. now use innosetup and can't see a time i'd go back unless nsis was re-written from scratch.

not bad but not there yet. does not work with applications and follow the cursor (i can be typing in openoffice and it will remain blissfully unaware and not follow my cursor) and can't invert colors globally regardless of which method i use. fix those two things and it will be a perfect replacement for microsoft magnifier. until then...four stars.

this client continues to be my favoured mail client on windows. i only wish there was as good a client on linux. light as a feather - after running for hours it's using just over 15mb of ram. thunderbird is up to 91mb after less than five minutes. yesterday i wanted to set up an automatic reply filter. a two-minute job with becky. thunderbird? forget it. i'm sure there's a way if you just install the right plugin. if you can find it. and if you trust third-party developers embedded in your mail software. no doubt the tb fanboys will protest; like the comodo and ubuntu fanboys they get very uptight when you criticise their toys.never mind. carry on using tb. i hear you can even download colourful themes for it!leave becky to those who understand its elegance and hidden treasures.worth every last euro i spent on it, and i'd do it again in a heartbeat.

the program works. but why use this, when there's so many free, if not gpl, decompression tools out there? sure it's prettier than 7-zip, but who really cares?

were you interested in modifying and distributing truecrypt code? i didn't think so. you can look at the code; it is open source. that's what counts. that's the point. i don't care if the osi nazis support it.anomoly your rant makes no sense. competition? what? i am not a truecrypt developer or investor so i have no stake in it. prefer whole disc [sic]? yeah, me too, that's why i use truecrypt. telling me i can't post reviews just because i don't like crapware is ludicrous.
