i had a bad experience with kaspersky. i did a trial download of their 2010 version, liked it well enough, and bought a seven-user 2009 package, retail. when i went to activate it, my keyboard was blocked and i was unable to enter the key code. i tried another keyboard, same thing. so, kaspersky took control of my keyboard / pc, so that i could not use my valid key code, leaving only the option to buy the license online, from their site (giving them my credit card number, too, of course). not cool! the retail package i bought was sealed and never used, completely legal. kaspersky could not have known if it was or wasn't, anyway, since i never got to enter the key code. point being that i should have been perfectly able / allowed to register a new, retail product. having already downloaded the trial is what got me. even though i uninstalled it and restarted the pc, there is still a counter on my computer, telling the days remaining on my "trial" period. this is complete bull! my next question is, that if they are doing something this unethical (in my opinion, it is), then what else are they doing with access to my pc?

as i already use some pretty decent anti-malware this has never found anything amiss on any of my pc's - if you take the time to read the terms & conditions it's probably of more use to ms to have a bit of a snoop around your pc as anything, i can live with that though & seems harmless enough to me.btw although i don't use mse the detection rates are now pretty good.

toss it on to a digital picture display, ts no doubt, and maybe, but for a calendar it already seems a bit bloated. there's no way i want a calendar overlayed on my screen. currently i use borg, but rainlendar would be my second choice bar none.

even when microsoft is leaving their old path to embrace the new devices, what is good for a mobile or tablet is normally not the best for desktops or laptops, and this is a clear example of it. i keep using the old music match jukebox running on windows 7 and windows 8 perfectly well. no internet intrusions at all, total security for my music files and easy editing to rename, clasify or include lyrics or album images (new lyrics or album images are easily downloaded from google, you only need copy/paste). earlier or later laptops and desktop computers will be considered as something totally different from mobiles and tablets, not only because of their compatibility with old programs but also for their different features and use convenience. even when you find both by the dish, you can't use a fork to eat a soup

very good s/w with a nice and useful interface! i hope the developer adds support for searching 7-zip, rar and maybe tar/bzip/gzip archives cause many ppl use those over zip for compressing big file collections.rate 5 as it does what i says... and does quite well! added to my watch list!thanks...
